"White Room", a book without "paper" presented in Bijelo Polje

"In fact, this is a novel about writing the last novel, but also a summary of everything I have written and published so far. It seems that 22 books were not enough for me to say everything about prose, so I had to write this one as well," said Zoran Živković. , author of the book

Ratković's poetry evenings started today with the promotion of the new novel by Prof. Dr. Zoran Živković "The White Room".

As he explained, Živković returned to writing prose after five years ago he published the novel "Poslednja knjiga", with which he wanted to round off his literary opus.

"Actually, this is a novel about writing the last novel, but also a summary of everything I have written and published so far. It seems that 22 books were not enough for me to say everything about prose, so I had to write this one as well," said Živković.

The author said that every writer must know when to stop writing.

For now, as Živković explained, the novel "The White Room" is a "paperless book" and is only available in audio format on RTS's Third Program, lasting six and a half hours.

"The novel will first see an American and then a Serbian edition," said Živković and praised the new technologies that enabled us to "read" with our eyes closed.

"So I hope that with today's promotion we have interested literature lovers to do so, and soon the novel will be available in the traditional form, as we know it," said Živković.

He emphasized that he is especially glad that he presented the novel for the first time at the event of Ratković's evenings of poetry, of which he is a special guest.

Dragić Rabrenović led the conversation with the writer in the House of Risto Ratković.
