The musical program of this year's Grad Teatar festival continued on Sunday, July 17, in the Santa Maria Church in Budva's Old Town. The concert was held by Trio Variete Montenegro, consisting of guitarist Petar Dobričanin, flautist Dijana Orlandić and harmonica player Miroslav Č. Ilić.
The repertoire included Anantango, Zima, Heavenly Tango, Hungarian Rhapsody, Libertango and Polka. Flutist Dijana Orlandić said that they chose compositions that they like and that are effective.
"Everything we did we adapted to our instruments. We put a lot of effort in terms of practicing and preparing arrangements for our band."
The Trio Variete Montenegro band has existed for three years, but as far as the performances themselves are concerned, they have been most active in the last few months. Until now, they have played in larger halls, and the ambience of the Santa Maria church was grateful for the performance.

"Halls usually require a sound system, because the accordion is much stronger than the flute and the guitar, so a sound system is needed to get a harmonious sound. It was not necessary here because the acoustics are good and special. It's more pleasant and nicer to play in this kind of environment", said Orlandić.
Miroslav Č. Ilić, who played the accordion, said that he was very satisfied with the reaction of the audience and the atmosphere in which they played.

"That's what we love and wish for the most, to play in such environments. It's a great honor to play at the Grad Teatar festival, which has been one of the best festivals in the region for years." Trio Variete Montenegro, at the request of the audience, returned for an encore during which they performed Galija's Tango for Claude. The music program of the 36th Grad Teatar Festival will continue on Tuesday, July 26, on the stage between the churches with a concert called "Stories of Love, Hope and suffering", which is done in cooperation with the Embassy of Canada.
