At this year's Mediterranean Theater Festival "Purgatorie 2022", tonight starting at 21 p.m., the theater play "Filomena Marturano" will be performed on the stage of the Buća-Luković summer house Artium.
This show has been playing since 2013, and it was co-produced by the City Theater from Podgorica and the JU Center for Culture Tivat. Anita Mančić, Branimir Bane Popović, Jelisaveta Seka Sablić, Nebojša Kundačina, Momčilo Otašević, Vukan Pejović, Božidar Zuber, Kristina Obradović, Pavle Popović and Lara Dragović play in this play.
The comedic melodrama "Filomena Marturano" by the Italian actor and director Eduardo de Filippe is a story about marriage, love and passion. The new interpretation of Jagoš Marković's text bursts with passion, emotions and humor, which envelops the intimate drama of two people with emotions and passion united into one, and separated from each other by life and social circumstances.
The characters in the play move between humor, satire, cynicism and deep and true drama.
"Filomena Marturano" is a production that Montenegrin critics after the premiere evaluated as "a miracle that happened on the theater boards" and "a theatrical earthquake. The play directed by Marković conjures up an extremely interesting vision of the Mediterranean and Mediterranean nature in a story about family values and love passions.
In addition to tonight's performances, "Filomena Marturano" is on the program of "Purgatory" and the following two evenings - on Friday, August 19 and Saturday, August 20.
