Representatives of the Turkish National Radio Television TRT, Director of the Film Production Department of TRT Faruk Guven and coordinator of the TRT festival "12 Punto" Esra Demirkiran, these days are staying in Montenegro, at the invitation and in the organization of the Film Center of Montenegro (FCCG), with the aim of introducing the Montenegrin film sector to the possibilities of co-production, but also to initiate cooperation between Montenegro and Turkey.
On this occasion, a panel "TRT co-production and international co-production with Turkey" was organized on Wednesday, where Montenegrin producers and directors had the opportunity to become more familiar with the criteria for applying to the largest platform for script development and co-production in Turkey, the festival "12 Punto".
In addition to the panel discussion, a screening of the film "Hope" by the Turkish director was organized in cooperation with the Montenegrin Cinematheque. Umit Koreken which brings a completely different approach and story than the one that the Montenegrin audience is mostly used to, when it comes to the Turkish industry in the field of television and film.
On the eve of the screening in Podgorica, the director of FCCG Aleksandra Božović she expressed her gratitude to Guven and Demirkiran for their visit and openness to cooperation. She pointed out that both of them will be present at the opening of the new digitized cinema in Herceg Novi in the "Park" hall (last night) when another film made in the majority production of TRT, "Carnations and Carnations" directed by Bekira bulb.

"We are pleased to be in Montenegro, and especially to have had the opportunity to meet people from the film industry. We are here to present various possibilities of co-production, such as the films 'Nada' and 'Carnation and Carnations', but at the same time to encourage and initiate cooperation with Montenegro", he pointed out.
Guven expects that next year some co-productions will be realized, that they will experience success and participate in festivals.

"TRT provides support to international projects, and we are here to present, explain and show Montenegrin producers what funds are available to them, but also how they can use their funds. We also plan to connect Turkish producers with producers from Montenegro, I hope that soon we will host representatives of the FCCG in Turkey, but also that there will be film co-productions between Turkey and Montenegro already next year," said Guven.
Božović reminded that the digitization of the cinema in the "Park" Hall was realized with the joint funds of the Ministry of Culture and Media of Montenegro, the Film Center of Montenegro and the Municipality of Herceg Novi.
The film "Hope" is different from the Turkish productions available to the Montenegrin audience
The film "Hope" directed by Umit Koreken, shows only a segment of TRT's rich cinematographic production. A different approach and theme from the productions that are close to the Montenegrin audience, confirmed the diversity of the Turkish film and television industry.
"Nada" tells the story of Umut and his slightly older partner Asija. Asija is the director in their theater house, where Umut also acts, while she is preparing for a big television role that she has been waiting for and longing for.

On the other hand, he will be greeted by the role of a son, after his mother suddenly and unexpectedly enters their lives after a long time of estrangement... In addition to that big shock, an even bigger surprise will follow, which will also confront him with the role of a father, because Asija accidentally finds out that she is pregnant. Son, partner, father, actor, begin to clash in a quiet and slow drama that constantly foreshadows the necessary reckoning, resolution... The extended development of events shows a real story condensed into just a day or two of Umut's life, and precisely as such this drama slowly , but successfully, develops a feeling of anticipation and impatience for some outcome to happen. During the entire film, uncertainty, tension and an incomplete experience of the story are felt, even when the focus is, apparently, on the most carefree moments of love, work, creation, and even care. The issue of honesty towards oneself and one's neighbors, readiness for what life brings, (necessary) effort and commitment are intertwined throughout the film from the very beginning, so that the end is left to the viewer's will...
