I would like for there to be a little more awareness, for us artists to be equally respected in Montenegro, and when we return to it to be welcomed as we are outside... Artists from Montenegro, however, have something to show and have such energy is rarely met, says the academic painter from Cetinje in an interview for "Vijesti", Jelena Vusurović after which there was quite a busy period full of numerous engagements.

A valuable, active and working summer resulted in numerous successes, and the next period is no different, she tells "Vijesta".

"I can say that so far my works can be found on every continent, and I am especially glad that my country has the most paintings," said Vušurović, summing up her impressions.

Although every exhibition and participation in various programs and events was realized through her engagement and efforts, Vušurović believes that wherever she goes, she represents the country as well as the art scene, in addition to herself.

"Each cooperation has ended successfully and I claim that it will absolutely continue to be so in the future as well." I also open the door for my colleagues so that, if they follow the developments, they have a path on which they will surely achieve the same successes as me. All events are attended by the largest number, from the ministries of culture and all diplomats. I can say that art is really accepted as it befits us artists. Every path I take, and so do my colleagues, is of great importance because it is the only way we can convey the spirit of our country", she says.

Ahead of the next events, she lists for "Vijesti" the events where she was noticed so far.

"Montenegro participated in the second symposium of academic painters and icon painters 'Banja dvorovi' in Bijeljina, for the first time at this international association our country shows the spirit of our regions and remains noticed. As part of the alliance with 20 other eminent artists, our country receives a certificate of thanks and an award for participating again. In addition, in Albania I had the honor of being with the holder of the Guinness record in mosaic by Saimir Strati and thus the door is open for further participation and cooperation, both with Albania and Kosovo, where I have an independent exhibition, and with Turkey, where my works have attracted attention and thus created the desire for the paintings to be part of the gallery in Adana. "Spring art" was also organized for the youngest, where over 15 paintings were created, which we donated to the "Razvitak" center for children with special needs. Very quickly, I went to Srbac where, as a selector of the Art Association of Srbac, I welcomed 40 painters from Macedonia, Albania, Serbia, Egypt, France, Italy and England... All in all, I want to say that art has no borders and knows no religion and nation, we are all one", she says and continues:

"There is also the "Friendship" Festival, which brings a different spirit to Goražde. The entire composition of old Yugoslavia in one place. It was an honor to open the festival with an exhibition and an even greater honor that I received was to close the festival in person. In addition to the artistic composition, together with the group Sars, the Lexinton band, Dado Topic, Goražde sang and painted for those seven days. A smile and hospitality is what fills the soul. Of course, I have been invited next year and it will be a pleasure to represent Montenegro and Cetinje again".

Vušurović tells "Vijesta" that she is soon leaving for Romania, where her exhibition is being prepared in Timișoara, which will be opened in the House of Culture.

"That exhibition aims to support minorities in Romania, to pay tribute to mothers and children. After Romania, I participated in the Euro Kosovo festival in Pristina, where there are about 100 participants from all over the world. I think it is important for our country to have this kind of cooperation in art. Also, the SKAMPA International Theater Festival is held in Albania in Elbasan and is one of the biggest festivals, and I am the only participant there and I present myself with an independent exhibition called 'Metaphysics of Feelings of the Past,'" announces Vušurović, who is more than satisfied with everything she has achieved. this summer.

Vušurović also runs an art school for the youngest, so he says that he gives special emphasis to that, but also great gratitude. Her students also worked hard and repeatedly show what talent, effort and dedication are... In addition to the previous activities with the school, there are also the following...

"The plans that are coming now are an exhibition in Turkey, where I would present my youngest again because everything remains on them, and there is also a project in Baghdad, an exhibition and a panel discussion where we would also discuss Montenegro, specifically about art and the importance that our the earth bears. "We haven't officially determined the dates yet, because of the big plans that await me," says Vušurović.
