Independent exhibition of the Montenegrin artist Hajdane Kostić "The Master and Margarita" will be opened tonight in Belgrade, in the gallery "Art for all" at 19 p.m.

Founder of the "Art for All" gallery Marija Milosevic she noticed that the very name of the exhibition of the young fine artist is multi-symbolic.

"Although Hajdana did not have the characters from the novel of the same name in mind at the beginning of the creative process, one can see a deeply painted intuitive state of mind and spirit transferred to canvas. Kostić, although a young artist, deals with 'eternal' themes such as love, the relationship between good and evil, courage and cowardice, questions of truth... The layered depiction of characters and backgrounds is one of the reasons why her work is subject to various interpretations - from philosophical interpretations to symbolic analysis of phantasmagoric characters. "He shows the events through humor and with an absurd-grotesque tone, using line drawings for emphasis," Milošević wrote.

She adds that fictional elements appear in the works in the form of the cat Behemoth, and with such an approach she shows a "world of miracles".

"The hippopotamus is represented by the artist as 'Mr.' With them, the artist elevates the story from reality and places it in a world whose reality supports miracles. We are witnessing the complete overlap of surreality and reality, the merging of miraculous elements with the real, thus creating a story that, with its irony and absurdity, speaks of the state of human imagination and subconsciousness. Margarita's incarnation is shown in the painting 'The Queen', where, in addition to the symbolism of the character's strength in the form of a crown, a being in the artistic form of a dinosaur emerges from her body, which symbolizes the collective unconscious and the primal element contained in heredity," Milošević writes and concludes:

"With its breadth and richness, the artist manages to impose herself on the audience and challenge them to further reflection, which is a sign that this is a successful work."

In addition to several independent and numerous collective exhibitions, Hajdana Kostić also organized several humanitarian exhibitions. This exhibition in Belgrade will be open until October XNUMX.
