Vukoslavović and Dragović will (nevertheless) exhibit tomorrow in Belgrade

Permission from the Ministry of Culture for the export of Milena Vukoslavović's works was awaited until Monday, which made the realization of the exhibition questionable.

Exhibition "Another picture from today's walk" by Montenegrin authors Milena Vukoslavovic i Srđe Dragović will be opened tomorrow in Belgrade, in the Cultural Center "Studentski grad", at 19:XNUMX. Dragović announced this on his Facebook profile with the statement that the realization was uncertain until Monday due to the lack of promptness of the Ministry of Culture and Media of Montenegro, the announcement concludes.

"The exhibition is coming to Belgrade! They would add that the exhibition is coming because we waited until the last hour (to be more precise - until yesterday afternoon) for the Ministry of Culture and Media of Montenegro to issue us a permit for the export of Milena's works. In other words, until yesterday afternoon, we were sure that there was nothing to do with this exhibition," wrote Dragović yesterday.

Curator of the exhibition, which was presented to a large audience in Podgorica last fall is an art historian Ljiljana Karadzic who pointed out that the exhibition deals with "the perception and reflection of the immediate, inconspicuous space, resulting from the experiences of joint walks/walking around the city".

"Artists record and photograph everyday scenes and ordinary urban environments where there are no people, and then transform the recorded frames into works of art in different ways. With an interested view, without aesthetic motives, they frame parts of streets that do not have specific characteristics, details of residential modernist buildings, business buildings, warehouses, asphalt, containers, power lines, outlines of hills in the suburbs, traffic signs, pipes, wires, thus ephemeral objects and scenes that make up physiognomy of any city. "Milena uses the photo as a template for the painting, while Srđa makes phone drawings, intervening directly on the photo taken by the phone by drawing in the simple application Artecture Draw, Sketch, Paint," she wrote.

Dragović invited all those interested to visit the exhibition.

"We hope to see you on Thursday in the Gallery of the Student City Center of Culture, whoever is nearby. And about the procedures that everyone who plans to exhibit outside goes through, we will soon write and draw you in more detail. Thank you Ljiljana Karadzic and Maida Gruden for help, patience and understanding".
