The last greeting to the artist: A farewell was held for the cremation of Žarko Laušević at the New Cemetery in Belgrade

The funeral and cremation of the remains of actor Žarko Laušević (1960-2023) was held at the New Cemetery in Belgrade, in the presence of family members and numerous friends, associates and admirers.

At the entrance to the New Cemetery chapel, a large number of those who came to pay their last respects to Laušević gathered, among them actors Vesna Trivalić, Miki Manojlović, Zoran Cvijanović and Milan Marić, reports N1

Among those present were actors Branimir Brstina, Caci Mihailović, Andrija Milošević, Dragan Petrović Pele, Dragan Mićanović, Enis Bešlagić and many others.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić, writer Siniša Kovačević, screenwriter Nataša Drakulić, directors Miroslav Lekić, Darko Bajić, Radoš Bajić and Srdan Golubović, theater director Gorčin Stojanović and many others attended the farewell to Laušević.

Laušević was sent to his eternal rest by the choir singing the famous song "My Way".

Actor Nebojša Dugalić mentioned in his farewell letter that Laušević was destined for all dramas to happen and break on him.

Dugalić pointed out that Laušević was "renaissance and versatile, acting, writing and painting", and that he was "an artist in giving way to others".

"Our candle, we will forever watch over the trail of your flame and by preserving your wax, remember what you illuminated for us," said Dugalić, among other things.
