In the Montenegrin National Theater (CNP), reading rehearsals for the staging of the duodrama "In Eden, in the East" have begun, based on the text Borislava Pekić, which will premiere on May 14 at the Cultural Center in Šavnica.
It is a drama that is staged for the first time in Montenegro, and is co-produced by the Center for Culture, Sports and Media Šavnik (Creative Hub Kuća Pekića), CNP and the Faculty of Dramatic Arts from Cetinje.

The second part of the rehearsals will take place in the Cultural Center in Šavnik and in the House of Pekić.
In the play, which he directs Milo Vucinic, they play Dejan Ivanovic i Paul Novakovic, while the scenography and costumes are entrusted Mini Đurović. He will be in charge of audio visual support Matija Jovanovic, who will be the assistant director.

The play "In Eden, in the East" is the practical part of Vučinić's master's thesis, which he studies at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Cetinje, at the theater direction department, in the class of prof. Radmila Vojvodic.
"Pekić advocates and advocates the thesis of grounded psychological science and doctrine, which reduces this epic antagonism to logic - two sides of the same coin, following the fate of two 'small-minded' people from the social milieu, sad prisoners of their own mania. In our reading of Pekić's text, we are looking for everything that is eternal in that work, turning the thematic course towards, in the writer's full oeuvre, the motif of the reckoning between art and system, which is so present", director Vučinić wrote.

He pointed out that in the field of form, the basic dramatic conflict is resolved through the phenomenon of play as an elementary psychological driver.
"Respecting both the writer and the text, we question the limits of the maximum engagement of the audience as a third party in this duodrama in general," wrote Vučinić.
The project is co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and Media of Montenegro.
