A rich program awaits lovers of art, music, technology and theater at this year's Rubix Festival, a unique event of its kind in the region, which will be held this year in August, more precisely from the 8th to the 10th in Porto Montenegro.
After the successful first edition, which took place last year in July, the organizers of Porto Montenegro and "Fešta" decided to move it this year to August in order to have another big event on offer during the eighth month. As last year's festival resonated not only in the region, but also wider, this year's line up was created which will be able to satisfy the tastes of even the most demanding audience on those days in Tivat.
"This year, the festival is opened by a famous Italian actress and model Isabella Rossellini which will perform the monodrama 'Darwin's Smile', which combines art and science. On the first day, we didn't forget the fans of opera and classical music either, because for the first time we will be presented with an opera singer Petra Rabulović with the New Era Quartet, as well as a pianist and composer David August whose point on the main stage, in addition to great music, will also bring audio-visual effects. The headliner on the second day is the famous French band "Nouvelle Vague", and besides them there are also Crazy P, while the third night is reserved for electronic sound, and the star of the evening is the famous Hernan Cataneo", she confirmed at yesterday's press conference Varvara Petrović adding that El Maestro and Novak will also perform at the party at the end.
Workshops, exhibitions, meetings with famous people will be organized as part of the accompanying program of the Rubix festival, and some Montenegrin artists also got the opportunity to show their work.
"A young artist will participate in this year's festival Darija Bajagić which this year presented Montenegro at the 60th Venice Biennale, then there are Radun Marsenić, Rajko Sušić, Zoran Obrenović, Aleksandar Ostojić and numerous other artists, both younger and older generations, including DJ Novak. Of course, we invite all other young people to join us, to contact us in order to take part in Rubix, and not only this year", said Danilo Kalezić PR Porto Montenegro.
Unlike other festivals that raised the price of tickets, Rubic decided to offer cheaper tickets for Montenegrin citizens, and currently a set for all three days can be bought for 37 euros on the gigstix website. Also, before the festival, they will provide one-day tickets for all those who want to be a part of Rubix for just one evening.
