The Vice-President of the Liberal Party and representative of the European Union, Jelena Marković, pointed out that the President of the Municipality of Nikšić, Marko Kovačević, is abusing his official position, by allowing footage for the series "Fortress", produced by RTS, to be filmed on the territory of that municipality, without the consent of the Ministry of Culture. .
"Those who need to film do not have permission from the Ministry of Culture, so Silnik has taken it upon himself to do what he wants and to harass the citizens of Nikšić," Marković said in a statement sent to the media.
She requested that the filming, as she said, directed by Aleksandar Vučić through his henchman Marko Kovačević, be urgently banned by the Ministry of Culture, because, as she adds, in such a heated situation there may be unpopularity, which is the goal of Kovačević and Vučić.
"Who is doing this without authorization? This is done by those who do not respect our country and think that they can do whatever comes to their mind, that's why I warn Minister Tamara Vujović to act urgently", said Marković.
The vice-president of the Liberal Party added that an urgent reaction from the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments is needed because the Fortress is a Montenegrin cultural asset under state protection, so permission for filming cannot be issued by someone from the local level, but must be done by the Ministry of Culture, and that whoever wants to film must submit the script for inspection in order to prevent abuse of the cultural property.
She said that the Municipality of Nikšić, i.e. the Tourism Organization of that municipality, paid for the accommodation for the crew filming the series in the amount of 160 thousand euros.
"It is clear that further cultural genocide against Montenegro is being financed, which has been their goal in Nikšić with the help of their colleagues from the local government, the Democrats. The VDT should get involved and react urgently," Marković points out.
She said that they are working on a project of complete assimilation of everything Montenegrin and destabilization and prevention of the rapid entry of Montenegro into the EU, and that Montenegrin institutions must prevent this.
