"Gojko Đogo spoke clearly about the 'woolly times' of fear and lack of freedom, allusions that leave no room for ambiguous interpretations. Therefore, he was quickly 'sniffed out by his brothers' and his book was withdrawn from sale a week after its release and 1006 copies were destroyed, and five copies were handed over to the City Committee of the Communist League. Without the judgment of literary criticism, the book was destroyed, unprecedentedly, and its author subjected to shameful persecution and blackmail... When the devil should not be told that he is black, Gojko Đogo made known what everyone knew. Because the helpers in the devil's work recognized themselves, they organized a hunt for the poet," said Dubak.

After making a living for poetry, Đogo only made himself known again with poems after two decades and in 2002 he published "Crno runo", a book containing, according to Dubak, the poems of a former prisoner - "a look from behind the bars at the terrible 20th century ".

"There was no braver poet or greater hero of the poetic word than Gojko Đog, and for that he is unique, not only in Serbian poetry," wrote Delić.
