The Ministry of Culture and Media (MKM) announced that it has announced a competition for the co-financing of projects of importance for the development of creative industries, the budget of which is 300 thousand euros, and the deadline for applications is October 14.

The government department added that the competition's budget this year is 100 euros higher than last year and amounts to 300 euros, of which 150 will be allocated to support the development of female entrepreneurship in the field of creative industries.

"The Ministry of Culture and Media will co-finance projects of importance for the development of the creative industries sector in the areas of establishing ICT products, architecture, design (graphic, industrial and fashion), digital art and creative crafts, incentives, preservation and development of traditional crafts and skills. Applications that are not within the mentioned areas will not be considered. Projects and programs will be co-financed up to 50 percent of the total amount needed for their implementation," said the Ministry of Finance.

They state that the right to participate belongs to entrepreneurs and legal entities based in Montenegro that are registered for the performance of cultural activities.

"Natural persons, non-governmental organizations, public institutions and other entities whose work is financed from the budget of Montenegro, i.e. the municipal budget with funds planned for culture, legal entities that in the previous period used funds for co-financing projects from the Ministry of Culture and Media, do not have the right to participate. and they did not submit a narrative and financial report within the agreed time frame. One applicant can apply for a maximum of two projects, of which only one can be supported," says the Ministry of Finance.

"Applications are submitted 30 days after the announcement of the competition, ending on October 14. The Ministry will make a decision on the co-financing of projects and programs on the proposal of the expert committee, while the contract with the selected applicants will be concluded within 30 days at the latest from the announcement of the decision on co-financing. The results of the competition will be published on the website of the Ministry of Culture and Media," the announcement reads.

MKM stated that all selected projects/programs or products must be placed on relevant markets and events, with the aim of promoting and accelerating their further development.
