The exhibition "Gradina - ramparts of memory" was opened on Monday in the Danilovgrad Art Colony, on the occasion of the Days of European Cultural Heritage event, under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Media.
The exhibition was opened by an archaeologist from the Local Museum in Danilovgrad Stanko Jovanović, but she was the moderator of the program Aleksandra Pavićević.
"For seven days, workshops were held in the Gallery of the Art Colony and in the Local Museum of Danilovgrad, under the expert guidance of our academic sculptors from the Colony and archaeologists from the Local Museum," stated the Municipality of Danilovgrad.
The participants of the workshops worked with traditional sculpting and painting materials and techniques: clay, fimo mass, acrylic, with which they tried to reconstruct the objects of the Martinica fortress, or some characteristic details such as rosettes, amphorae, stone decorations...
Diplomas were presented to the participants by the Acting Business Director of the Art Colony, Andrija Radulović. He pointed out that it was an honor for that public institution to organize this event on the occasion of the Day of European Cultural Heritage, with the desire to highlight the values of Martinić Gradina and draw attention to this important locality with drawings, paintings and sculptures.
