In the jubilee year of the Literary Club "Poenta Poetika", which operates at the "Zahumlje" JU in Nikšić, the fourth issue of the anthology "Mozaik" was promoted, in which there are poems by 18 young poets, members of the Club.
Editor of "Mozaika" Andjela Peković, who had the role of a reviewer in the last issue, said that her job was both easy and difficult and that everyone who will read the selected poems will see that "Mozaik" deserved to be found as an active participant on the Montenegrin literary scene.
"Since I am the editor of the anthology this time, I was now a more attentive and considerate reader, but I also had the opportunity to follow the poetic development of all poets, so I could notice how some improved their expression, some used a sharper vocabulary, some came to a more self-aware lyrical expression", Peković pointed out.
In the collection, he says, the verses of poets whose thought is the most mature were found, and the special value of "Mosaic" is the heterogeneity of both themes and styles.
"The poetry in the anthology shunned commonplaces, quotableness, ideologies. It does not follow metrical patterns, nor does it meet the criteria of instructiveness, but it has confirmed the principle of free-mindedness... This poetry is characterized by exceptional figurality, metaphoricity, narrativeness, and the dramatic principle that pervades these poems", said Peković and pointed out that poets are brave, true voices. of the new world, which make things more visible in the world, and the space of poetry a space of absolute truth and freedom.
Reviewer Dragana Erjavšek she pointed out that those poets who matured in their eyes from anthology to anthology are particularly important.
"In this continuity, we recognized everything that they had learned in the meantime about themselves, poetry, theory, creation, whether they looked up to their role models, or whether they outgrew them. Some dared to go a step further, others honed their metaphors and word combinations until they became impossible to ignore, and there are those who are still exploring their own poetic potential. The way they translate their impressions into lines of verses today is a triumph of thinking and rising above situations that are difficult to relate to without poetry," said Erjavšek.
In her opinion, the "point of poetics" has gone beyond turning it into a movement of equals or similar, and what dominates in "Mosaic" is freedom as a state of mind.
"It is not a small matter that the impression that all the authors in 'Mozaik IV' write unburdened, without fear of removing a piece of their soul and leaving it for the evaluation of their future readers. And then spontaneity as a manner which in today's age, more than ever, makes it clear that it is very important for poetry to reach its reader, to approach him without manifesting linguistic snobbery. Everyday language can be poetic and melodic", is part of the review read by Erjavšek.
He adds that some of the verses were born from a scream that could no longer be contained, and in some of them there are living realizations and reliefs, enjoyment of life, some criticism of society, love, life.
"Because of all that, the collection 'Mozaik IV' is not just a book by joint authors, but a sitting in a bar, a lively conversation that you can't help but hear while pretending to be doing something else, a pledge for the future of the Montenegrin poetry scene which, thanks to to the people gathered around this and similar associations, and how alive and dynamic they are", concluded the reviewer.
Second reviewer Dragoljub Pajović he said that 18 young poets sang old themes in a new way with their talent and poetic sensibility, making them different.
"The subjectivity of the lyrics of these gifted poets creates a real mosaic of emotions, colors and sounds, a collage that is finely coordinated by the careful selection of the editor and as a whole represents the completeness of the lyrical record," said Pajović, emphasizing that the ideas and motifs that the authors poetize are typically lyrical.
Freedom is recognized in the author's poems in free verse, short and long form, arbitrary rhyme, thematic and lexical diversity, he noted.
"The quality that this collection brings is not based only on aesthetic categories, but rather prompts the reader to reflect and self-examine. On those roads, byways, goat paths, sometimes even labyrinths, we meet ourselves and that makes these selected verses even closer to us", says the reviewer, a professor at the Gymnasium "Slobodan Škerović".
Moderator of the program, Tijana Vujovic she reminded that ten years ago, on the initiative Processing Nenezic and the president of the Club Goran Radojicic, founded "Poenta Poetics" with the aim of affirming young poets and their creativity, but also poetry in general. For a decade of work, they imposed themselves on the public and took the place that rightly belongs to them, so today all significant literary events in the country and many in the region are unimaginable without the participation of the "Poenta Poetika" Literary Club and the collection "Mozaik". Thus, at the 63rd Sarajevo Poetry Days, there will be a poetry class entitled "The point is poetry - ten years of the club".
About 70 young poets have passed through the Club, adds Vujović, and currently more than 30 are active. Behind them are individual awards, books, literary evenings, various events, and ahead of them is a time that suits them, because, Nikšić has always been a city of poets, and the members of "Poente Poetika" show that it still is.
At the promotion of the anthology, verses were spoken by young poets: Tijana Draganić, Šćepan Popović, Miloš Jocović, Mia Drašković, Radojka Draganić i Damir Gegić.
The organizers of the promotion are the Literary Club "Poenta Poetika" and JU "Zahumlje", and the program is held as part of the October repertoire of the Nikšić cultural scene.
