The performance "Cross with five branches", which according to the text Velizar Radonjić directed Zoran Rakocevic, produced by the Coryfej Theater in Kolašin, will be performed tomorrow on the big stage of the Montenegrin National Theater at 20 p.m.
It is also the first time since the establishment of the Coryfej Theater that a play produced by them will be on the stage of the national theater, Rakočević said earlier. In addition, it is also a curiosity that Radonjić's text is one of three selected at the competition of the Montenegrin National Theater in 2019.
The play was created in memory of the deceased director Goran Bulajić, Montenegrin theater creator, friend and big supporter of Coryfej Theater.
The roles in the piece are played by: Đorđije Tatić, Katarina Krek/Anđelija Rondović, Pavle Bogojević, Danica Rajković, Nemanja Todorović, Lazar Đurđević i Luka Stanković.
"This is a story about a society that has lost human dignity to such an extent that it cannot look at the world without narrow political interests. In particular, this is about the death of the grandfather, where the family gathers, the children and grandchildren arrange the funeral, but it is essentially a campaign agreement, since the election is in 10 days. All this turns into a chase for prey, for someone smaller, for someone larger. Certainly, it is a story about an extended family that is dysfunctional in terms of family, because they are on different sides. They have lost their compass and dignity to such an extent that at one point they agree to cancel the funeral, just to attract more attention and be bigger in the eyes of those who need them", said director Zoran Rakočević.
