In Plužine, a digitized cinema was opened tonight in the Culture Center. The cinema was opened by the director of the Film Center of Montenegro (FCCG), Aleksandra Božović, who emphasized the importance of this project for the local community.
"Tonight here in Plužine, we are not just opening the doors of a digitized cinema hall - tonight we are opening the doors to a new world. The world of film, culture and shared moments. This hall becomes not only a place for screenings, but also a place for meeting, talking and creating memories. We hereby confirm that culture and film are not only the privilege of big cities, but something that belongs to each of us, regardless of where we are," said Božović.
She said that the Film Center of Montenegro, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Media, is dedicated to digitizing movie theaters throughout the country, and that this project is not only a step forward in the technical sense.
"It is a sign of our desire for film and art to be a bridge between generations, to connect small and large environments and inspire new, young generations who will create and experience the world from a completely new perspective," said Božović.
She also thanked the partners who participated in this project, the Ministry of Culture and Media, as well as the local government, which recognized the importance of this project for Plužine.
As part of the opening of the new cinema hall, the domestically produced film "Planet 7693" directed by Gojko Berkuljan was shown. This film is shown all over Montenegro in digitized cinemas thanks to the Network of Cinema Screeners. His story about nine-year-old Luka, his family and a mysterious girl from another dimension introduces us to the wonderful world of children's imagination, but also shows real life challenges faced by young people and their families.
Let us remind you that the project of digitizing cinema halls in Montenegro was started five years ago through the joint action of the Ministry of Culture, the Film Center of Montenegro and local governments, as one of the priorities of the National Program for the Development of Cinematography.
