The Miloš Karadaglić Foundation announced the names of the winners of the second cycle of scholarships, support programs and grants, which it announced in cooperation with the companies Porto Montenegro, One and Elektroprivreda with the aim of supporting talented young artists and innovative projects in the field of music and visual arts.
The Foundation announced that the scholarship for studying classical music went to pianist Sim Šišević, who is a master's student at the Royal Academy of Music in London, and violinist Jelena Jovović, a student at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz.
As they stated, guitarist Miloš Pavićević will receive support for his audio-visual project "Soleil levant", an album for solo guitar inspired by impressionist music.
The Foundation said that the grant for financing and co-financing of cultural and artistic projects will be awarded to the Ballo Ballet Troupe for the choreography "Sequence of Destruction", which explores the emotional and psychological consequences of family breakdown on younger generations.
A grant for funding and co-financing of cultural and artistic projects, as the Foundation said, will also be awarded to the Barroom Barroom studio for the multimedia project "The Sound of Bridges", which will improve the aesthetic and sensory experience of historical bridges in Montenegro by adding a unique sound component.
They said that, having learned from the experience of the first cycle of scholarships, they sensed that the jury would have a difficult task this year as well.
According to them, it was once again shown that the regional cultural scene has vigor and strength, thanks to which it can compete with world standards.
The Miloš Karadaglić Foundation pointed out that it is truly a privilege to be able to support the enormous potential of future scholars.
They emphasized that they are convinced that together they will build a stronger cultural community that inspires, connects and contributes to society as a whole.
The Foundation said that the concrete results of their engagement are visible after only one year of work, and that the scholarship holders from the first cycle are already established as top ambassadors of Montenegrin culture.
This, as they said, further strengthened their determination to help young creators, but it also inspired them to expand the competition and to support innovative cultural and artistic projects through grants.
"We are pleased to support works that explore themes and creative expressions relevant not only to Montenegro, but also to the wider region. In this way, I'm sure, we will awaken additional interest in initiatives that connect people through art," the Foundation stated.
The Miloš Karadaglić Foundation publishes competitions on an annual basis, in cooperation with numerous private companies.
Senior manager for PR and communications in Porto Montenegro, Danilo Kalezić, said that in that company they strongly believe in supporting young talents and cultural initiatives that enrich the community.
As he said, they share a vision of the importance of creative expression and cultural development with the Miloš Karadaglić Foundation.
He stated that investing in young talents is not only a support for their individual success, but also a contribution to the creation of a richer cultural landscape for all of us.
"Together, we can create inspiring opportunities that will open doors for new generations of artists, which is confirmed by the first generation of scholarship recipients, who are already achieving international success," said Kalezić.
The communications manager of the One company, Tina Raičević, said that it is an honor to share the dream of art expansion and top education of young people with a world-renowned artist like Karadaglić, with his human qualities and integrity.
Raičević said that when they supported the work of the Miloš Karadaglić Foundation last year, they were immediately aware that this partnership would be one of those that would last.
"This is our second year together, and the growth of the Foundation reflects the fact that it is awarding as many as six scholarships this year, for which we are particularly proud. For us, investing in and supporting such important ventures is an expression of deep responsibility towards the community and the culture itself," Raičević added.
Head of the Sector for Corporate Communications in Elektroprivreda (EPCG), Tomaš Damjanović, said that the partnership with the Miloš Karadaglić Foundation represents a perfect symbiosis of the power of energy and the power of culture.
"As the largest company in the country, EPCG not only drives the economy, but also provides an incentive to the creative streams of our community, showing that supporting culture and young talents is just as important as taking care of the economy," Damjanović said.
He pointed out that cooperation with the Foundation, which is led by a world-renowned artist, sends a clear message that investment in culture is investment in the common future.
"Together we are building the foundations for a new generation, where culture will play a key role in everyday life and be a landmark in the value system of our community," said Damjanović.
