This photo series explores the connection between the twilight hours and the human unconscious. Twilight, as a transitional space between day and night, carries symbolic weight, representing transition, uncertainty and hidden depths of the psyche, says Michaela Maria Hintermayr on the occasion of the opening of her photo exhibition "Between", tomorrow at 19 pm in Gallery F64.

"Combining the visual language of half-light with the psychological concept of the unconscious, this exhibition aims to provoke deep reflections on the nature of the self, dreams and mysteries that lie beneath the surface of our conscious experience. The focus on these themes draws on the themes of memory, trauma and identity. Dealing with these aspects , we can gain a deeper understanding of our beliefs and aspirations, wounds and losses, and ultimately, our own essence," adds the author.

The announcement states that the artist switched to free art after a life-changing illness in 2012.

"This turning point taught her to value artistic expression as something deeply healing and restorative. It also encouraged her to explore powerful topics such as mental health, trauma and intense emotions. Michaela is deeply interested in the transient and unconscious states of mind. What lies beneath the visible and rational ?How can we grow and accept the constant changeability of life? And how can we embrace each moment of our existence?Through her art, Michaela invites us to explore the hidden aspects of our minds and accept the complexities of life. Her hope is that her work will inspire people to explore their emotions and value them as important messengers. In addition, she wants to awaken a sense of self-awareness and compassion in the audience," they point out from Gallery F64.

Michaela Maria Hintermayr, born in Vienna in 1980, graduated from the "Graphische" college for media technology and design. She continued her career in publishing and has been working as a freelance artist, videographer and photographer since 2012. She is the winner of numerous awards and has participated in many exhibitions (Docu Book, Docu Magazine, Arts to Hearts Project - Studio Visit Book 3, Boomer Gallery, Wien Museum, etc.).
