With the motto "Under the surface", the Center for Civic Education (CGO) is organizing the jubilee 15th Montenegrin human rights film festival UBRZAJ 2024 in Podgorica, Kotor and Berane.
The central program of the UBRZAJ Festival will be held from December 10 to 14 in Podgorica, in the Cultural and Information Center (KIC) "Budo Tomović" and the Montenegrin Cinematheque, and the accompanying editions in the Berane Cultural Center on December 11 and 12 and in the "Boka" Cinema " in Kotor on December 12 and 13. Admission to all screenings is free.
"The UBRZAJ festival offers a unique overview of films of the latest production and of exceptional quality that address various aspects of human rights. These films come with regional and international recognition and awards, and are shown for the first time in Montenegro," the statement of the CGO points out.
The films from the selection, they add, are another contribution to building a culture of human rights and critical thinking, and we will have a dialogue about them in the accompanying program.
The festival will be officially opened on Tuesday, December 10 at 19.30:XNUMX p.m., at the Budo Tomović KIC, when the annual awards for the affirmation of human rights and civic activism awarded by the CGO will be presented.
This year's edition was financially supported by the Delegation of the EU to Montenegro, the Ministry of Public Administration and the Municipality of Kotor, and support was also provided by the Municipality of Berane, KIC "Budo Tomović", Cinematheque of Montenegro, JU KC "Nikola Đurković" and the Berane Culture Center. UBRZAJ's partners this year are BELDOCS, Sarajevo Film Festival and Human Rights Film Network.
