A young harmonica teacher from Pljevlja Nemanja Potparić, was a member of the jury of the prestigious world festival "Trophee Mondiale", which gathers the world's best artists in the field of classical accordion.
The "World Trophy" competition was held for the 74th time in a row from November 25 to December 1 in Montargis, France, and Nemanja Potpara participated as a representative of Montenegro in the work of the expert jury, which is a great recognition for him and the local scene.
In addition to working on the jury, as a delegate of Montenegro, he also participated in the work of the Congress of the World Confederation of Accordionists CMA. The confederation consists of delegates from almost all countries of the world and at the congress they make important decisions for the development of classical accordion and art in the world.
Nemanja Potparić was born in 1991 in Pljevlja, where he finished elementary school, and the Secondary Music School "Dr. Vojislav Vučković" in Čačak, in the class of prof. M.Sc Miljan Bjeletić.
Even as a student, he won several awards and recognitions at many competitions and festivals. The Faculty of Musical Arts graduates in the class of prof. M.Sc Vojin Vasović. As a student, he performed at many festivals, as a solo performer and as a member of many chamber ensembles. He studied in Russia, at the "SV Rachmaninoff" Music Institute in Tambov, and at the State Music Institute in Belgorod.
He received his master's degree at the Academy of Arts in Belgrade in the class of regular professor dr Zoran Rakić. He began his teaching career in 2014 at the Music School in Pljevlja. Together with his students, he won 12 first prizes at 12 international festivals.
Potparić was engaged as a member of the jury at many festivals in the country and abroad (Austria, Lithuania, Russia, France, Serbia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Argentina). In addition to work in pedagogy, he is also actively engaged in work in culture. He was a member of the negotiating group "Pantonale", which dealt with the issue of cultural development in the countries of the Western Balkans. He presented at the general congress of the World Music Confederation in Kaunas-Lithuania.
He is also very active as a concert performer. He held a large number of concerts in the country and abroad. His repertoire includes works of contemporary, classical and tango music, and he performed in Russia, France, Serbia, Montenegro, Austria, Lithuania, and Slovenia.
As the only European representative, he participated in the tango music festival held every year in Argentina in Buenos Aires in honor of the composer Astor Piazzolla. At the Festival, in addition to the concert, he also gave a lecture on the topic: "Development of classical music in the Balkans".
He is a member of the world music confederation CMA as a delegate of Montenegro.
As a recognized artist, Nemanja Potparić appeared in three editions of the American publishing house Times Square Press - New York, and an interview with him was published in the book #From the shadow of an accordion to eternity.
He also gave an interview for the famous American magazine Accordion stars magazine New York and at the same time was on the cover of the aforementioned magazine edited by Times Square Press - New York. In the world music encyclopedia published by Times Square, Nemanja was included among the thousand best world performers in the field of classical accordion.
