The official opening of the BOOK Winter Salon and the exhibition of English books will be held on December 14 at 19 p.m. in Podgorica, in the Kosmos bookstore in the Master quarter, the organizers from Nova Knjija announce.
The festival will open Jelena Borovinić Bojović, and immediately after the opening of the deputy ambassador of Great Britain Sarah Pilbeam, will open an exhibition of English books, which is also the first program of this year's edition of the festival, the press release says. The editor of the publishing house Nova knjiga will also speak at the opening Marija Vujosevic.
"As part of the sales exhibition of English books, a large number of English publishers and titles will be presented, which is a unique opportunity for readers from Podgorica to find a wide selection of the mentioned books in one place. For the duration of the salon, all books from regional publishers will be discounted from 20 to even 50 percent", they add.
The program will last until December 29, and among other things, new books by contemporary local and regional authors will be presented, namely: "Toma Zdravković: Written in Time" Nikola Kankaraš, December 16, "Constellation of Fireflies" Mirjane Bobić Mojsilović 17, “New Daughter-in-Law” Slavica Perović18, "Tin coffin for Zejna Zaimović" Muharem Bazdulja December 19, "Empty Tombs" Marinko Vorgić 20, "Under someone else's sun" Miodrag Majić 21, "There is no without" Vuk Vuković 27, and the audience will have the opportunity to hear poetry as well Milan Knežević 24. decembra i Rada Šerbedžija 26, while a program devoted to creativity will be organized on the 23rd Borislav Pekić and on December 25, the play "Two Women and One War" was performed Vjere Mujović i Maria Bergam.
The final days of the festival are reserved for the New Year's concerts of Rad Šerbedžija and Zapadni Kolodvor in Herceg Novi on the 27th, Podgorica on the 28th and Nikšić on the 29th of December.
