Documentary film "Stanić, the Century", about the Montenegrin painter Voj Stanić, the director Andro Martinović, will be shown tonight in two times, at 19:20 and XNUMX:XNUMX on the Studio Stage of the Montenegrin National Theater.
The documentary film was conceived as a kind of sublimation of the creativity of one of the greatest Montenegrin painters. "Stanić, the Century" is a journey through Stanić's painting, through which Stanić himself guides us: his statements about everyday life, about art and kitsch, about life in small towns, about modernity in painting, about television... Each of the selected observations from the interview given over more than half a century, is combined with documentary material and its images - as a commentary and as an artistic transposition, in the refraction of the real and the imagined.
A special segment consists of statements by Stanić's friends and admirers. In the film, they talk about why Voj's paintings are close and important to them: Đorđe Kadijević, Rade Šerbedžija, Emir Kusturica, Radmila Vojvodić, Duško Vujošević i Branko Baletic.
Admission is free, but due to high interest and a limited number of places, free tickets must be collected at the ticket office before the screenings begin.
