The first Sijarić Literary Days, in honor of the literary great Ćamilo Sijarić, will be held in Bijelo Polje on December 17 and 18, 2024, at the Cultural Center "Vojislav Bulatović Strunjo", the institution announced.
On the first day of the event, on Tuesday, December 17 at 19 p.m., in the gallery of the Culture Center, the program "A thousand wondrous suns" will be held, which will begin with a poetic event dedicated to Ćamil Sijarić, after which an exhibition of paintings by academic artist Tijana Gordić will be opened.
Every day, November 18, in the gallery of the Center for Culture, from 12 o'clock, there will be a round table and promotion of the collection of works on the literary work of Ćamil Sijarić "The Magic of Storytelling", prepared by Faruk Dizdarević.
The following will take part in the program: Faruk Dizdarević, Svetislav Basara, Dijana Hadžizukič, Draško Došljak, Petar V. Arbutina, Suljo Mustafić, Bogić Rakočević and Kemal Music.
Moderator will be Edin Smailović.
From 16 p.m., also in the gallery of the Center for Culture, there will be a promotion of the novel "Recapitulation" by Svetislav Basara, winner of the first Regional Literary Award "Ćamil Sijarić".
Petar V. Arbutina, Edin Smailović and the author will talk about the novel. After the promotion of the novel "Recapitulation", from 18 p.m., there will be a screening of the documentary film about Ćamil Sijarić "Fairy Tale Storyteller" by Bogić Rakočević, produced by RTCG, after which the first Regional Literary Award "Ćamil Sijarić" will be presented to Svetislav Basara.
