The delegation from Nikšić attended the opening ceremony of the European Capital of Culture in Nova Gorica, which is hosting this prestigious event this year. The opening was attended by the project manager Mato Uljarević and office manager Nemanja Popovic"During the ceremony, the Nikšić delegation had the opportunity to meet with representatives of other candidate cities for the title of European Capital of Culture, including the cities of Limassol, Leuven and many others. These meetings enabled the exchange of experiences and ideas, as well as the strengthening of cultural ties between cities that strive to contribute to the European cultural community," the press release states.
Nova Gorica, a city in western Slovenia, will be the focus of the European cultural scene in 2025, and it presented itself under the slogan "Go Borderless".
Nikšić has been shortlisted for the European Capital of Culture 2030.
