The Film Center of Montenegro (FCCG) will participate in the European Film Market (EFM) which is held as part of the 75th Berlin Film Festival, the popular Berlinale, which is one of the world's leading film events.
This year's European Film Market brings together the most important representatives of the international film industry, and representatives of the Film Center of Montenegro will have their own stand in the Marriott Hotel, where they will present the latest achievements of Montenegrin cinema to European film professionals, producers and distributors. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about current productions and co-productions, festivals, as well as the exceptional opportunities that Montenegro offers as a film destination, according to the Film Center.
"The Montenegrin stand will feature the publication "Montenegrin Cinema 2025", a comprehensive catalogue that provides a detailed overview of current film production, along with information on current projects and achievements of Montenegrin cinematography. This year's market brings a rich program of seminars, webinars and presentations, which represents a significant opportunity for networking and establishing new partnerships. Representatives of the Film Center of Montenegro will be available for meetings and consultations throughout the market," the statement said.
They add that Montenegro's participation in the Berlinale this year will be particularly significant due to the great success of the young Montenegrin actress. Lidija Kordić, who was the first representative of our country selected for the "European Shooting Stars" program.
"Kordić, who attracted international attention with her role in the Italian film "Diva Futura", will be one of ten young European actors who will be introduced to key players in the global film industry. The award ceremony will be held on February 17, 2025 in the main festival hall "Berlinale Palast", where all selected actors will be individually awarded," they remind in the statement, adding that the Film Center of Montenegro has been continuously present at the European Film Market since 2019.
