The expert jury of the 8th Festival of Small Theatre Forms in Zaječar, consisting of: Irfan Mensur (president), Katerina Kocevska and others Vuk Miletić (members), awarded the Special Award to the play "Lungs" produced by the Nikšić Theatre. The play is based on the text Duncan McMillan directed Andrei Nosov, and they interpret the roles Maja Stojanović i Stevan Vuković.
"The play 'Lungs' stands out for its dedication to the basics of theater – the actor, the word, and the relationship with the audience. In a time when the stage is often subject to spectacle and superficial form, this play consciously chooses minimalism in order to achieve the maximum – truth, emotion, and meaning," the expert jury explained.

The play, as assessed by the expert jury, nurtures what makes theater eternal: live dialogue, a current topic, and the ability to move us to reflect on our own choices, responsibility, and love.
"This play does not flatter, does not conceal or run away - it speaks out what we often keep silent about and thus reminds us of the true purpose of art. That is why the jury is very pleased to award the Special Award for the preservation of true theatrical values to the play 'Lungs' - as a reminder that even silence on stage is enough, if it is true," the expert jury emphasized.
In December last year, Maja Stojanović and Stevan Vuković received the "Special Diploma for an Acting Duo" award for their roles in the duo drama "Lungs" at the 29th International Festival of Small Stages and Monodrama held in Istočno Novo Sarajevo.
The themes of this play, which premiered on the stage of the Nikšić Theater on November 30, 2023, are male-female relationships, problems faced by young married couples, helplessness in the social moment, social and existential insecurity, all of which influence the question of whether to create a new life in the world as it is.
