The 10th anniversary Made In New York Jazz Festival will be held from June 26th to 29th, produced by Rabbit Records. Traditionally, the main program of the jazz festival will begin at Porto Montenegro on June 27th, at their Synchro stage in Tivat.
A day later, on June 28th, a big concert will be held in Cetinje, at the Summer Stage under the Eagle's Krsm, and the RTS Big Band will perform under the direction of the conductor of the HRT Jazz Orchestra. Mirona Hauser, with special surprise guests. The festival's final concert will be held on the plateau in front of the Music Center of Montenegro in Podgorica on June 29. Rabbit Records announced that the festival, "known for its impressive list of world-famous musicians who have performed on festival stages in Montenegro in the past decade, will continue that tradition this year."
"We are honored to announce the arrival of a large number of world-class jazz masters such as Randy Brecker, Peter Erskine, Richie Goodes, Haley Reinhart, Joy Brown, Otmaro Ruiz, Yakov Mayman and other surprise guests whose names will be announced shortly before the festival. Regional jazz stars include Vasil Hadžimanov, Ivan Aleksijevic, Miron Hauser, Sule Jovovic, Vladimir Maras and others," Rabbit Records announced.
In addition to the aforementioned locations, the festival will feature smaller events such as surprise street gigs (jam session programs), masterclass workshops, and afterparty programs.
Made In New York Jazz Festival, as announced by "Rabbit Records", is proud of the fact that in the past 10 years it has managed to bring together legendary artists from the USA, special guests from around the world and talented musicians from Montenegro and the region, and present Montenegro as a desirable jazz destination.
"This unique fusion of musical styles from all over the world creates a rich palette of different jazz colors, premiering and uniquely showcasing the best this genre has to offer and promoting intercultural cooperation and understanding - all in Montenegro. Providing a platform for musicians from the region and Montenegro to share the stage with world-class jazz musicians, this festival highlights the amazing talent and potency of the Balkan and Montenegrin jazz scene and fosters creative exchange and mutual respect among artists," the statement reads.
Since December 2022, the Made In New York Jazz Festival has been treated by the Ministry of Culture and Media as a festival of special importance for the culture of Montenegro.
"Rabbit Records" is organizing the festival in strategic partnership with "Adriatica Marinas" ("Porto Montenegro").
