Resignations are pouring in the Football Association of Serbia after the early relegation of the Serbian national team at the European Championship.
After Jovan Šurbatović, the general secretary of the Serbian House of Football, vice-president Branislav Nedimović also resigned, writes Sport Club.
The Eagles were already eliminated after the first stage of the EP, with only two points won and one goal scored in group C, which was enough for the last place.
The same fate - farewell - also awaits coach Dragan Stojković Pixi, who in the past two days, along with everyone else, was criticized by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.
That parting, however, will not be so easy, writes Sport Club.
"The question remains open as to how the cooperation with the coach Dragan Stojković Pixi will be ended, who has a clause in the contract that in the event of his departure after the European Championship, he must be paid one million euros," says SK.
The same media writes that earlier a big conflict was simmering between Nedimović and Stojković, and now, as things stand, both will leave the FSS at the same time.
"It was written earlier about the departure of Nedimović from the Football Association of Serbia, but then there were other reasons, related to political games and realignments within the SNS, a party of which the former vice-president of the FSS is now a member. That did not happen, but the 'war' between Nedimović and Stojković continued, and the vice-president of the FSS was expressly against the new contract for the coach of Serbia, with the specified clauses and duration".
SK wrote earlier that the ungrateful task of convincing Pixi to terminate the contract by agreement fell to Nedimović.
"Is there a more original idea in the days of football suffering?" asks Sport Club.
