With six players on three goals each, UEFA has announced that the top goalscorer award will be shared if no one takes the overall lead.
This policy differs from the previous tournament, when the winner was the Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored five goals and had one assist. Czech Patrik Šik, who scored five goals, did not receive an award because he had no assists.
