Farmers from Leškopolje are desperate: The irrigation canal has dried up

The lack of water in the canal has become a real nightmare for farmers from Lješkopolje. This manufacturer does not know what else to do.

"You see, what it means to be a plant without water, there's no way out for it, if it doesn't get water today, possibly tomorrow, I don't have anything to get into them anymore, and I invested huge funds, 25 thousand euros, and I had these In XNUMX, there was enormous damage from natural disasters, hail, and later from rain, but I didn't lose my money, and I still needed to earn money, because I am only engaged in agriculture," said farmer Velimir Vujović.

Due to the new situation, the farmers are desperate.

"I farmed, as soon as there was no water, I farmed," said farmer Radomir Marković.

The capital city, which manages the canal and two companies that use that water - the Knjaz estate and the Plantaže restaurant - are to blame for everything.

"There is no water because the Leškopoljski canal was built 50, 60 years ago for the needs of seven local communities of the then Titograd. Today, as your camera will record, there is not a drop of water in it. Why is it not there? Because of the arbitrariness of people from AD Plantaža and some companies, I think it's called Zetagradnja, which built a beautiful restaurant there, where they keep ducks, geese, he doesn't know what, they literally steal water," said farmer Nenad Boljević.

That is why they once again send an appeal to the authorities to urgently solve this problem.

"We don't want a fight, there is enough water for us and for them, as long as they take that water, when the fish take a little bath, when the ducks go for a walk, they return that water to us," said Boljević.
