For the ten-member Tvrdišić family from Nedakus near Bijelo Polje, life in a dilapidated house of about forty square meters became unbearable.
Although they live next to the school, they have neither water nor sewage. There is moisture everywhere on the cracked walls of two rooms because the roof is leaking.
"As soon as it rains, I'm immediately dripping. There's no way, I just can't make ends meet with this much income. Neither I work nor my wife works, children go to school. Five children to school, you have to endure it. All you need is a notebook and a pencil it's just that I buy handbags and clothes and shoes and everything they say, you'll survive," he told Televizija Vijesti Milorad Tvrdišić.
The people of Tvrdišić live on 160 euros of social welfare, which they say they got with difficulty. Although they only have a television and light sockets for electricity, they spend about 50 euros per month. Due to his illness, Milorad has a hard time finding work for a wage.
"If I go to work for one day, I don't work for ten or fifteen, it can take a month without work," says Milorad.
Giving birth to child after child, his wife Senka could not even think about employment. Because of this, she cannot exercise her right to compensation for mothers with three or more children. And there is a lot of work around children.
However, despite all the hardships of this family, the greatest hunger that has entered this home is.
The only wealth for Milorad and Senka are their children. Eight of them, aged one to 12, share everything they have. And they have too little of everything necessary for growing up. And their wishes are modest.
