Slovenia is ready to provide assistance to Montenegro in areas where it is needed, as well as in negotiations with the European Union (EU), said the newly appointed Slovenian ambassador in Podgorica, Mitja Močnik.
Minister of Finance Radoje Žugić and Minister of Health Budimir Šegrt received Močnik today.
It was announced from the Ministry of Finance that Močnik referred to a series of initiated project activities that are continuously and successfully implemented, and which are based on joint cooperation.
"In this sense, bearing in mind that, to the greatest extent, these are projects related to the provision of development aid, Močnik's assessment is that significant progress has been achieved, which will certainly be a good basis for the expansion of further forms of cooperation", the statement said.
It is stated that jointly opened opportunities for creating new directions of action through education and providing support for strengthening the entire health system of the country.
"Encouraging Montenegro's efforts on the path of Euro-Atlantic integration, Močnik expressed his willingness to provide bilateral assistance in areas where there is a need for it, but also during negotiations with the EU," the statement added.
Žugić, while appreciating the partnership relations between Montenegro and Slovenia, which are based on and go deeper than the economic, cultural and political spheres, said that he is convinced that Močnik's mandate and joint participation in all segments will be more successful and meaningful.
