The House of the Revolution, a megalomaniacal building in the center of Nikšić that has been gaping without purpose for four decades, will become a modern shopping and business center by the end of next year, assure the President of the Municipality Veselin Grbović and the chief city architect Nebojša Adžić.
On that occasion, the DPS and SD councilors who make up the convocation of the local parliament unanimously decided that the premises of the House, which has been reconstructed since April, will start to be leased to interested businessmen for a period of 30 years.
"And those who offer the best conditions will get to work and reconstruct according to the projects that we will approve, to invest their funds, to build a new Delta, a business center," says the president of the Municipality of Nikšić, Veselin Grbović.
"I can say that this month we will call for tenders in accordance with the given circumstances and that somewhere next year we will certainly be frequent guests at the House of Revolution," claims the chief architect of the municipality, Nebojša Adžić.
The municipal officials expect that the Nikšić budget will be richer by around 150.000 euros per year from the lease of space in the House of Revolution.
And whether future works on the building will be carried out according to the project of the Slovenian-Swiss-Montenegrin team of architects that won the competition of the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism, the first man of the Municipality comments: "We don't want 10-20-70, but we want it 100 percent let's finish. They suggested 11 million to be financed and that we get only 10 percent of the solution, and we finish the project with 800.000 and without investment from the municipality and the state".
Grbović said that the team of architects also did not foresee that the start of the reconstruction would arouse great interest from investors.
You mentioned Goranović, Laković, Nikšićki mill, who else is there from investstir?
"Voli is interested, those who are interested in a fitness center, Technopolis is interested with some Japanese in the part across the street from the Municipality. We will see at the tender who wins," says Grbović.
DPS councilors did not hide their delight that the local government they form together with the Social Democrats is solving the multi-decade problem of the city under Trebjes, and councilor Rajko Perović considers this decision of the Assembly to be historic.
"They say that sailors who are on a ship, when the sea is rough, and they have a malfunction in one engine, the greatest happiness is when they see land. So I can tell you that this is one of the most historic meetings after the Second World War until today," he said. councilor of DPS.
