Sekulić: We shared 189.000 euros and everything was legal

The long-time director of the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services, now a member of the Council, Zoran Sekulić, admits that he distributed 1 euros with four other colleagues from March 2010, 1 to September 2011, 189, in the name of additional engagement.

"That fact is indisputable. "Six decisions were made, and as far as the factual situation is concerned, everything is as the media announced," Sekulić said.

In addition to Sekulić, the Prosecutor's Office also accuses the President of the Council of the Agency Šaleta Đurović and the members Branko Kovijanić, Aleksandar Mijač and Ana Radonjić for the illegal distribution of money in the name of additional engagement.

Sekulić claims that everything was legal and with the consent of the Government.

"The law was fully respected. The decision was made in accordance with the Statute of the Agency, which was approved by the Government at the time, and the funds were spent in accordance with the financial plan approved by the Parliament."

When asked what the additional engagement on the basis of which they spent 189 thousand euros entailed and whether there was any at all, Sekulić answers:

"That's the total amount for two years for several people. It's another manipulation, it looks so imposing in total, but it's basically at a much lower level per month and doesn't exceed the amount paid out in similar institutions."

He is now a member of the Council of Regulators, which, as he says, has generated more than 100 million euros in revenue for the state coffers since its establishment.

The operations of the Agency for Electronic Communications have been attracting public attention for many years, especially its two major investments - the construction of the main control and measurement center on Dajbabska gora and the purchase of two business premises. EKIP is otherwise the most profitable state regulator, whose annual budget is around 5 million euros.
