Billboards sprouted everywhere like mushrooms after the rain.
This was noticed by retired ethnologist Nevenka Ilić, who is bothered by all the colorful things on the side of the road.
"We should enjoy traveling to the sea, to look at the landscape, to see agave, aloe, žukva, tica, karst, sometimes we can't even see that ship on the open sea from the billboard. What we have here is simply incredible and I think that order should have been introduced there. I ask the question, who is in charge of taking care of what is being advertised, who can put up a billboard, what size should that billboard be, at what distance," Ilić pointed out.
Graphic designer Nikola Latković believes that all of this should be better regulated.
"Currently, it seems to me that little thought has been given to it. Similar to architecture. Wherever there is room, not a tree to plant, but a building or a billboard that hides some important content, some urban environment or some tourist attraction and the like. Surely , there are too many of them," Latković said.
Nobody takes care of what is on the side of the road, director of the Traffic Directorate Savo Parača said recently at the Chamber of Commerce.
"Today, all those billboards on Montenegrin roads are illegal or illegal. Inspections, one, two, three, can all do their job, remove, punish, do whatever they want. We have not issued any approval for that in four years. That the same applies to these billboards," said Parača on May 30.
The government briefly told "Vijesti" Television that they are working on solving the problem.
Latković notes that in this area, as in any other, we must respect standards.
"The conclusion is that the billboard is a good thing as a form of visual communication, but we need to find an adequate place for it," said Latković.
