"Be humane": Donors can track where their money goes through the site

The "Budi human" foundation launched a website at www.budihuman.me, which they say is a unique portal in the region.

Based on the agreement with mobile operators, the foundation has enabled users, that is, donors, to monitor donations (via SMS or via account, payment to the account) in real time on the portal, said Goran Jovanović from the "Be Human" Foundation.

"This means that you can practically choose whom you want to help, and when you send a message, you can see after just a few seconds that the message has reached that person. In three separate tables, you can track SMS donations, donations via account payments and the way in which those funds are being spent," said Jovanović.

Currently, the general account of the Foundation is about three thousand euros. The other account has about 390. According to the contract between the Foundation and the media for Teleton, this money is intended for children suffering from cancer. At the Telethon held on February 15, 367 were collected, and the rest were donations.

"Those funds are in the account and are waiting for the child who is sick with carcinoma, and he did not manage to get those funds through the regular health system, he did not receive funds for treatment from the Health Fund," added Jovanović.

Payments to the Foundation are not subject to VAT, and the Foundation itself is not financed from part of the collected money, but from donations from socially responsible companies. The Foundation has a Commission consisting of three doctors - Medical Director of the Clinical Center Snežana Raspopović, Director of the Children's Hospital Sonja Milašinović and Maja Kavarić.

"That Doctoral Committee will not decide on priorities, so there are no priorities, every document that arrives at the address of our Foundation will be considered and if it meets the criteria prescribed in our Regulations, a profile will be opened for that child, the collection of funds for the treatment of that child will begin child," emphasizes Jovanović.

Citizens can donate money by paying into the account or sending euros by texting "one" to the number 14543. For now, the foundation will collect money for the treatment of people up to 18 years of age, and there is an idea to make it possible for the elderly as well.
