Two arrested for arson, one criminal charge

The Nikšić and Herzegnov police shed light on two cases of arson.

As announced by the Police Administration, MK (23) from that city was arrested for starting a fire in Nikšić in October of this year, while a criminal complaint was filed against RK, who is two years younger.

"A criminal complaint was filed against RK (21) to the competent prosecutor in regular proceedings due to the existence of reasonable suspicion that he committed KD destruction and damage to another's property, while MK (23) from Nikšić was deprived of his liberty due to suspicion that he committed KD destruction and damage to another's property by means of incitement", according to the police.

The police suspect that MK paid RK 150 euros in order to start a fire that caused more than 10.000 euros in material damage.

"On October 10.10.2018, 29, the emergency service of CB Nikšić was informed that there was a fire at the shop "Lucky Toys" which is owned by FL (10.000) from Nikšić. Police officers from CB Nikšić came to the scene. the state prosecutor in ODT in Nikšić conducted an investigation in cooperation with a court expert from the area of ​​PEH. During the investigation and after the expert reports, it was determined that the fire at the mentioned building was set, i.e. that the building was doused with gasoline, after which the unknown perpetrator started the flames. The building was completely destroyed and material damage was caused in the amount of over EUR 150. After a series of measures and actions, the Nikšić police came to know that RK, as suspected, committed the above-mentioned criminal act, in the way that, according to the previous agreement, came to the mentioned building, poured gasoline on it and started a fire with an open flame. Through further criminal investigation, the police officers came to the suspicion that MK, it is suspected, paid RK the amount of XNUMX euros so that he would set fire to this building, that is, commit the said criminal offense .

Also, yesterday, the police in Herceg Novi arrested fellow citizen NP (23) on suspicion of setting a house on fire in September of this year.

He is charged with the criminal offense of causing general danger.

"He committed this criminal offense in the way that, as is suspected, he came to the house of the injured VK in the Savina settlement, and using a suitable means opened the window of the house, after which he used a lighter and a fire accelerant to cause a fire in its interior. As a result of the fire, resulted in the complete destruction of the house and causing danger to other residential units that were located in the immediate vicinity.
