The works of one of the most famous, but also the most mysterious artists of today can finally be viewed in one place.
No matter how hard the media try to get more detailed information about Banksy, we only know a few facts about him, and no one can confirm them with certainty. He is thought to have been born near Bristol and to be in his forties. Such mystical stories usually entail a whole series of imaginative theories, so there is a part of the public that believes that Banksy is actually Robert Del Naja, a member of the popular group "Massive Attack". However, true fans will agree that the very identity of this artist is irrelevant, and everything we need to know about him and his philosophy of life is found in his works. Banksy is known for the fact that his works are created in secret and usually surprise the local population of the chosen city. The works mainly deal with criticism of the system in which we live, and problematize working conditions, wars, racism and similar topics. After achieving notable success with the "Dismaland" project, which represents a pessimistic version of an amusement park, Banksy took a step further in approaching the public.
As part of "Dalston's Hang Up Gallery" in London, the first permanent exhibition of the most diverse works of the talented artist was recently opened. The space has already received the nickname "Banksy Bunker", and it presents sculptures, works on canvas and various prints, which will change over time. The exhibition will be open six days a week, and admission is free.
