The first solo exhibition of Selver Kardović, an academic artist from Rožaj, which includes forty drawings and paintings dominated by the human figure, was opened in the "Velimir A. Leković" Gallery in Bar.
"Early thought, feeling and intuition - enable a young creator like Kardović to deal with the impressions of the world that surrounds him, which he receives in agreement with the enigmatic climate in which he lives and creates.
By means of them, those signals of consciousness, he, through the external, assimilates his experience by subordinating it to the color of his homeland, and through the internal 'sensory' reacts in the name of the process of wholeness and modernity", said Milun Lutovac, M.Sc., manager of the gallery "Velimir A Leković", accentuating Kardović's analytical approach to drawing.
In the catalog of the exhibition, it is written that despite all the contemporary influences, Kardović has a strong attitude to protect himself from the traps of cheap appeal "and to build his own style at any cost and leave the stamp of his own lyrical intonation".
Selver Kardović (26) graduated from the "Petar Lubarda" High School of Art in Cetinje, and the Faculty of Fine Arts at the International University in Novi Pazar, majoring in Painting. He is a participant in several international art meetings.
He had several collective exhibitions in the country and abroad. This his first independent presentation in Bar was organized by the Center for the Preservation and Development of the Culture of Minorities of Montenegro in cooperation with the JP Cultural Center Bar.
