Kotor's Dalibor Đurić was allegedly in danger of his life a year ago in the Spuška prison, three sources told "Vijesta".

The interlocutors claim that the murder was preceded by an incident in the grounds of pavilion "D" Prison - correctional facility, and that Đurić was allegedly a target even then.

"When he was walking towards the gym, a shot was heard, then there was chaos in the prison. Although the wall is several meters high, the officials were looking for grain. They didn't find it and someone covered it up. Convicts were immediately locked in their rooms", claims one "Vijesti" source.

It was not possible to verify this information at the Institute for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions.

The director of that institution, Miljan Perović, did not answer for two days whether there had been an attempt to assassinate Đurić before.

ZIKS announced the day after the murder of Kotoranin that "there was no information that his assassination was being prepared, that is, that his safety in the institute was threatened."

They explained that he had been in the Semi-Open Department for more than four months.

"During that time, there were no incident situations, nor did the Institute register any attempt to endanger the safety of this prisoner", claim ZIKS.

Despite this, they did not allow Đurić to use his free weekends because of the threatened security. A man from Kotor, whom the police identified as a member of the Skaljar clan, was killed three days ago in the open gym of the Semi-Open Department of the Spuž prison. A shot fired from a sniper hit him in the chest while he was exercising on the machines. Investigators found a bullet that went through the body of Đurić in the prison grounds, and a rifle holder not far from the steel fence of that pavilion.

The autopsy report has not yet been submitted to the Prosecutor's Office, nor has the list of phone numbers for which verification has been requested.

Steel wire "protects" prisoners from three parts of Spuša prison

Two parts of the Semi-Open Department of ZIKS (houses and the building) and the Prison for Short Sentences are provided only with watchtowers and a protective fence made of braided steel wire, due to which any convict can be threatened while outside the cell.

Two days ago, "Vijesti" reporters took pictures of convicts who were walking in the grounds of the Prison for Short Sentences, which can be approached right next to the wire.

On July 12, "Vijesti" sent questions to the ZIKS address about who is responsible for the safety of detained and convicted persons while they are in that state institution, but also who is responsible if the safety of any detainee or prisoner is threatened.

Those questions have not yet been answered, but the ZIKS explained that several employees "in addition to other jobs, also cover the work of preventive and security protection in the Institute".

They claimed before the prosecutor that they knew nothing about the liquidation of Đurić

The arrested Dejan Pavićević and Miloš Trbo claimed the night before the prosecutor Miloš Šoškić that they knew the deceased Đurić, but that they knew nothing about his murder, "Vijesti" has learned unofficially.

The two were arrested at Glava Zeta, not long after the crime in ZIKS. They were handcuffed on suspicion of dealing heroin, but investigators are checking their movement and communication at the time of Đurić's murder.

A source from the investigation told "Vijesta" that after the arrest, they told the policemen that they were headed for Kotor, where both of them live.
