World heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury canceled his rematch with Wladimir Klitschko for medical reasons.
Fury canceled the fight with Klitschko for the second time in the last five months, as they were originally scheduled to meet on July 9, and then on October 29 in Manchester.
The Briton postponed the first match due to an ankle injury, and the second also due to an injury, but it is not exactly clear why.
"Tyson will immediately undergo rehabilitation in order to recover. We regret this situation and apologize to the fans for the cancellation," Fury's management announced, as reported by the BBC.
Fury defeated Klitschko in Dusseldorf last November and won the WBA, WBO and IBF titles, which he later lost because he did not answer the challenge of Vyacheslav Glazkov.
