The Environmental Film Festival "Green Montenegro International Film Fest" started yesterday in the Danilovgrad Cultural Center, which will be held until September 23.
The goal of the festival, according to the organizers, is to develop and raise the level of awareness of the need to protect and preserve the environment, through artistic impulse and improvement of knowledge and information about ecology, through familiarization with global trends towards which Montenegro is striving.
The Festival's program includes world, regional and domestic films on the topic of environmental protection, divided into three categories - environmental protection, ecology of the soul and tourist promo film.
During the duration of the program, 75 films will be shown, including the films from Montenegro "Ostroga mi", "Feather of light and sanctity", two about Ćehotina - "Mountain" and "Rijeka Ćehotina", "Pljevlja Degraded Town", a film about Cuci "Thirst of the stone sea", "Jadi rijeka Ibar", the film "Guardians of old crafts" about preserved crafts on Lake Skadar. "Eoha" about a shepherd in the middle of the Montenegrin karst, who communicates with the flock as with people, and the film "Crazy for you", which follows the most intimate parts of the lives of residents of the Institute for the Accommodation of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities "Komanski Most".
The organizers and producers of the festival are the Municipality and Cultural Center of Danilovgrad, Center for Multimedia Production - CEZAM and Montenegrin Universal Theater from Podgorica. You can view the detailed program of the festival HERE.
