The academic painter from Bar, Goran Ćetković, will have his 19th solo exhibition tonight, at 20 pm in the famous Tivat gallery "Buća". For this exhibition, Ćetković chose mostly portraits, and among them will be the oil on canvas "Philosopher", for which this year he received a distinguished recognition - the annual award of the ULUCG "Milunović, Stijović, Lubarda" for a painting, and that from an international jury.

"The audience in Tivat will be presented with a new series of paintings created during the last two years... Most of the works have not been exhibited until now. Thematically, I have remained consistent with portraits, that is, people. I think that in life and art you should start from yourself, and I believe that man is an individual, a world unto himself, one planet around which everything revolves... I would like to mention some names of paintings: 'Solitude', 'Creation of the World', 'Memory ', these are clips from life saved in the subconscious, which spontaneously appear on the screen after a certain time. It all seems somehow inexplicable to me, and that's what is special about art," Ćetković told "Vijesti" on this occasion.

He added that he is especially glad that he is exhibiting his works for the first time in front of a highly educated art audience in Tivat. This is Ćetković's fourth solo exhibition in 2016, after Kotor, "Blues Bar" in Podgorica and Sutomore, and the catalog of the Tivat exhibition will include reviews of well-known Montenegrin art critics and art historians, Lucija Đurašković and Ljiljana Zeković.

"Ćetković's painting introduces us to the metaphysical spaces of an imaginary world of anthropomorphic representations that, through the expressive licentiousness of gestural strokes and the coloristic harmonies and disharmonies of light-dark contrasts, have transformed into associative forms - portraits and nudes that at the same time represent rounded thematic units of his painting," she wrote. among other things Zeković.

Ćetković, an art pedagogue at Elementary School "Kekec" in Sutomor and at the High School of Economics and Hospitality in Bar, has just returned from the international art colony in Počitelj in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the oldest in the territory of the former SFRY, where he spent ten days creating in the company of artists from ex-YU countries , Romania and Turkey, together with two other Montenegrin painters - ULUCG president Igor Rakčević and Stefan Todorović.
