FIAT: Performances by Slobodan Milatović and Mirjana Karanović

The festival of international alternative theater continues tonight from 18 pm in Kuslev's house with the lecture "Richard Serra: center of gravity" by Milovan Novaković.

The play "Adam and Eve", adapted and directed by Slobodan Milatović based on the play by Miroslav Krleža, will be shown tonight in the hall of the factory "Radoje Dakić" at 20 pm.

"This work by Krleža belongs to the early expressionist understanding of theater, which is not known as a perfectly written piece, it is literary good, and dramaturgically polemical. But it represented a challenge for a new reading and for someone who breaks theater conventions, and that is the director Slobodan Milatović," wrote Stevan Koprivica.

The Bosnian National Theater Zenica in cooperation with Chamber Theater 55 Sarajevo will present the play "We are the ones our parents warned us about" written by Tanja Šljivar and directed by Mirjana Karanović, who is also in charge of stage movement and choreography.

The play, starring Mirjana Karanović and Enes Salković, will be performed on the DODEST stage at 22 p.m.

"We are the ones our parents warned us about" is a drama that twists the concept of role play, as well as all other narrative techniques used, both monologic and dialogic, and even the language itself, into their opposites and shows the impossibility of simple attempts - to tell one's own life to an unknown person during one evening. In June, in a public toilet, Mara, a woman in her forties, and Milan, who is celebrating his birthday that evening, still a teenager, (accidentally?) meet and try to tell each other about their lives. They use random inscriptions on the toilet tiles as triggers for memories, and the unreliability and impermanence of any physical, emotional or mental memory is revealed through four scenes in which the archetypal relationships of mother-son, father-daughter, brother-sister and lover-lover play out. they show themselves to be the only truths that can be said about oneself", wrote Tanja Šljivar.
