Did the police hide Marović's contacts with Đukanović and Mujović?

The Police Administration did not submit to the Special State Prosecutor's Office all the findings of secret surveillance measures that, by order of the High Court, it collected while monitoring Svetozar Marović, Veselin Mujović and other people included in the Budva investigations, "Vijesti" has learned unofficially.

The Director of the Police Administration, Slavko Stojanović, and the Chief of the Criminal Police, Milovan Pavićević, did not answer to "Vijesta" whether this was true even after a week.

The Special Prosecutor's Office refused to comment on cases that are under investigation.

"Vijesti", however, has unofficially learned that the Special Prosecutor's Office has been investigating for months how part of the communication disappeared from the file of secret surveillance measures.

A "Vijesti" source close to the investigation said that part of the calls and text messages between Marović and Mujović were missing from those documents. Allegedly, there is also a lack of communication between Marović and Prime Minister Milo Đukanović.

"It is indicative, but also worrying, that someone in the police hid exactly the communication between Marović and Mujović in which the two agree on how to compromise the Supreme State Prosecutor Ivica Stanković and Chief Special Prosecutor Milivoj Katnić. When the prosecution confiscated Mujović's phone, those messages and calls were still in the phone. That's how the prosecution found out that the police were "dressing up" the findings of secret surveillance measures and started an investigation into it," another "Vijesti" source told "Vijesti".

In a similar way, the prosecution obtained evidence that in the finding of secret surveillance measures there is no communication between Đukanović and Marović.

Mujović was arrested in February on suspicion of taking more than 800.000 euros from Marović, promising him that Stanković and Katnić would provide him with a better status in prosecutorial investigations. Marović was convicted as the head of an organized criminal group that damaged the budget of Budva by tens of millions of euros.

This is not the first case that in the investigations of Mujović - Marović, evidence disappears from the police.

In February, letters and documents that the police took during the search of Mujović's house disappeared from the police premises. For this reason, until now, the acting head of the Department for the fight against organized crime is suspected Dalibor Medojević and inspector Nikola Terzić employed in that department. After a month and a half, the stolen documents appeared in the trunk of the official car of the Podgorica Security Center.

In those letters, Mujović wrote to Đukanović about his efforts to improve relations with Serbia, about the alleged activities he is undertaking to preserve Montenegrin state interests and bringing in investors.

Mujović also wrote to him about Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić, generals of the Serbian police, businessmen, security challenges and goals, "mediation in affairs for the state"...

After the theft of the letters, several sources close to the investigation told "Vijesti" that the theft of the letters could only have been ordered or approved by someone "very strong", who wanted to ingratiate himself with Đukanović, because Mujović's letters were allegedly "nonsense". The same sources claim that in the case of the telephone communication between Đukanović and Marović, it is about the "same matrix".

"I believe that it is about the same mental health workers as in the previous case," said the "Vijesti" source.
