The multimedia exhibition "Ja Ti (The Return of Unity)" by the Montenegrin artist Admir Bambura, opened in the Santa Marija gallery in Budva, as part of the post-festival program of the Grad Theater.

The new cycle is the fruit of Bambur's work over the past three years, and the exhibition consists of fourteen large-format paintings and drawings and three art installations. Bambur surprised the art audience with an atypical opening, without the presence of critics, with which the artist wanted to avoid intermediaries and invite those present to follow him personally on the path of self-discovery. Asking the universal, primordial question: "Who am I?" by means of paintings, drawings and intervening in the space with light, sound and smell, the artist achieved that his concept resonates with the thousand-year-old spiritual heritage of the imposing gallery space.

At first reading, one notices the symbolism of human figures and contrasts male-female, light-dark, positive-negative. Deeper symbolism reflects the constant internal struggle of man torn between polarities such as: love-fear, freedom-control, strength-weakness, good-evil, victory and defeat, conscious and unconscious.

As a chance for liberation from this eternal oscillation between extremes, Bambur offers an authentic relationship with another being: the relationship of I - You.

Both on an individual and a universal level, Bambur's opus explores the theme of origin and portage for meaning.

"Unity is both the beginning and the origin. We come out of it and return to it, like a snake eating its own tail, in a circular game of coming out of the One, searching for it in countless forms of manifestation and finally finding our original beginning", says the text by Darija Petović Bambur, with which the artist once again surprised , making it part of his concept and placing it in the catalog instead of the usual text of the critic, emphasizing once again the importance of an authentic relationship with the other.
