Prosecution: Piperović did not tell the truth

The Basic Prosecutor's Office in Kotor announced yesterday that the statements of the lawyer Zoran Piperović that the prosecutor Jovanka Čizmović assessed that the head of the criminal police Milovan Pavićević cannot talk about official notes because he is an economist by profession are not true.

The prosecution responded to the text "Economist not to interfere in police affairs" published in "Vijesti" on July 8. In that text, the lawyer Piperović's claims that Čizmović wrote this in an appeal against the decision of the Basic Court of Kotor, which acquitted his client, inspector Đoka Golubović, of the charge of abuse of official position, were published.

Golubović was tried on the charge of falsifying the contents of an official note, in which he wrote that former Minister of the Interior Raško Konjević used the services of prostitute Marija Milovanović.

"For the sake of objective information, the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Kotor informs the public that the statements published in the text 'Economist not to interfere in police matters' are not correct, namely the statement by lawyer Piperović that the prosecutor in the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Kotor, Jovanka Čizmović, assessed that the head of the criminal police Milovan Pavićević cannot talk about official notes because he is an economist by profession.

Pavićević, who is the head of the criminal police by title, is in the appeal of the prosecutor Čizmović, which she stated on the Verdict of the Basic Court in Kotor, brought in the proceedings against the accused Đ. G., mentioned only as a witness, and his testimony in the appeal is not related to his occupation.

The above is presented because we believe that the stated statements and the very title of the text, accompanied by the photo of Milan Pavićević, indicate the need to react, while the rest of the text I appreciate there is no need to comment, because it is actually a response to the appeal that will be appreciated by the Court of Second Instance," the prosecution's response reads. which is signed by the prosecutor Tanja Čolan Deretić.

Police Administration: Pavićević is a graduated police officer

The Police Directorate clarified yesterday that the head of the criminal police is not an economist but a graduated police officer, who graduated from the Police Academy in Belgrade and has been working in the Police Directorate for more than 14 years.

"During this time, assistant Pavićević has worked in various police jobs. He started as an assistant commander for public order and peace, and then he was engaged in criminology as an inspector for combating general crime. According to the results he achieved, he was promoted to chief for the suppression of general crime of the Nikšić Security Center. Pavićević then became a senior inspector for the suppression of organized crime and then the head of the Department for the suppression of organized general crime. He then became the head of the criminal police in CB Nikšić and then the head of CB Nikšić. From February 20, 2015 Pavićević is the head of the Criminal Police Sector - assistant director of the Police Directorate. We will not comment on the other allegations in the text, since they are procedural actions of other authorities," the Police Directorate responded.
