Ukrainian boxer Wladimir Klitschko said today that British heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury should be banned from boxing because of statements that made him "sound like Hitler".
Last month, Fury apologized for a video he posted on social media in which he made homophobic, anti-Semitic and sexist remarks.
Former world champion Klitschko said he was shocked by those statements.
"When he talked about Jews he sounded like Hitler. That man is an imbecile," Klitschko told the BBC.
Last November, Klitschko lost to Fury by unanimous decision and suffered his first defeat in 11 years. The rematch is scheduled for July 9 in Manchester.
"We can't have a champion like that. Either he should shut up, or he should be locked up in the ring, or he should just be thrown out, because you can't create hatred. I'm boxing against a guy who can't keep his mouth shut when it comes to certain things," he added. is the forty-year-old Klitschko.
