Prosecutor Suzana Milić yesterday ordered a 72-hour detention for the suspect in the murder of Zoran Boljević (33).
Danilo Jovanović (63) is suspected as the immediate perpetrator of Boljević's murder.
Along with Jovanović, his cousins Zoran and Zdravko Radulović were detained for the murder.
According to the defender - lawyer Dragoljub Petrović, the suspects defended themselves in front of the prosecutor by remaining silent.
The day before yesterday, the Police Administration officially announced that Jovanović and Radulović fled by car after the murder on the terrace of the Podgorica cafe "Laganini".
Lawyer Petrović denied this in his statement to "Vijesti" yesterday.
"Around 14.19:XNUMX p.m., I received a phone call from Zoran Radulović, who told me what happened. They told me that they were going to report to the police and to wait in front of the Security Center (CB) in Podgorica," Petrović said.
He added that at around 15 pm on the same day, they entered the police building together and that none of them ran away.
"We also handed over the gun to the police at that time," Petrović said.
The murder of Zoran Boljević happened around 14 pm two days ago after the victim had a fight with the Radulović brothers.
After the murder, the police announced that the inspectors assumed that Jovanovic's relatives had agreed to meet Boljević on the terrace of the "Laganini" cafe.
After they found each other, the police statement says, the brothers Radulović and Boljević fought and drew their weapons, and then Jovanović ran up and shot him in the head.
Jovanović and Radulović will be brought before the judge for investigations until the end of the 72-hour detention.
The arraignment before the judge, who will decide whether to extend their detention, will most likely take place on Saturday.
